Emotional first aid training
Emotional First Aid (EFA), including primary first aid in Cornwall, is about encouraging the wider Children’s Workforce to get alongside a child or young person experiencing emotional distress, before any professional help is sought. We hope this will build capacity, capability and confidence in these Universal (Tier One) Services.

Royal British Legion - physical and mental wellbeing
The Royal British Legion provides lifelong support for the Armed Forces community - serving men and women, veterans, and their families. Local Devon and Cornwall webpages are available.
Supports members of the British Armed Forces struggling to adjust to civilian life.
Entering civilian life after being in the armed forces can be a traumatic experience moving from a highly regulated environment to the freedom of civilian life. For many this transition is a difficult and painful experience with many reporting feelings of frustration, isolation and anger. Battling On offers wrap around resettlement support from helping deal with emotional and behavioural issues resulting from serving in combat zones to training and employability skills.
There are memory cafés in most of the major towns in Cornwall, which provide an opportunity for people with memory problems and those who care for them to drop in for a chat and a coffee.
