Community events
To help foster vibrant, safe, and supportive communities Cornwall Council's Resettlement Service works in partnership with:
- charities
- volunteers
- residents
- community groups and
- schools
on various events and campaigns throughout the year.

Homes for Ukraine Support Drop-ins
Starting in June 2025, free community drop-in events are taking place to give residents the opportunity to:
- connect with local support networks
- speak directly to the Council's Resettlement team
- gain advice from voluntary groups
- participate in activities and enjoy refreshments
Join these informal sessions and events with local community groups:
Tuesday 15 July, 6pm to 7:15pm
"Where you are now: how to stay resourced".
Ukrainian-speaking psychotherapist and certified coach, Anna Shcherbii-Sendogan will talk about:
- emotional resilience
- self-connection, and
- adaptation while living abroad
Agenda:
- Welcome and introduction from The Sunflowers and Choughs Club
- Guest expert talk (Anna Shcherbii-Sendogan)
- Q&A session with Cornwall Council’s Resettlement Service – questions will be collected in advance
- Closing reflections

Mobile Film-making Workshop, The Cornish Bank, Falmouth (ages 15+)
This workshop is free to attend and includes hands-on practice, theory and film screenings all led by Ukrainian filmmaker Svitlana Pohasiy.
