Public Spaces Protection Orders

Public Spaces Protection Orders (PSPOs) were introduced under the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 to help tackle anti-social behaviour.

PSPOs are aimed at ensuring public spaces can be enjoyed free from anti-social behaviour.

Current Consultations

Every three years the Council consults on the Public Space Protection Order (PSPO).

The PSPO is in place to balance the needs of Dog owners and others who enjoy the 46 Cornish beaches that are subject to seasonal restrictions on Dogs.

The consultation closes on 7th December 2025.
