Accessibility

  • There is on-street parking outside for 1 hour or a car park next door (car park is in Tamar Street)
  • Access is via the main entrance and the library is all on one floor
  • There is no free customer parking at this One Stop Shop.  The nearest pay and display where you can park for 1 hour for free

  • Awenek Art for Wellbeing: 10am to12pm (weekly)
  • Armed Forces Support: 10am to 12pm (second Tues of the month)

Wednesdays

  • Rhyme Time: 10am to 11am (weekly)
  • Friendship Group: 1pm to 3pm (first and third Weds of the month)
  • Dementia Singing Group: 1pm to 3pm (second and fourth Weds of the month)
  • Police Drop-in:
    • first Weds of the month - 10am
    • third Weds of the month - 1pm
  • Lego Club: 3.30pm to 5pm (weekly)

Thursdays:

  • Knit and Natter: 1pm to 4pm Drop-in (weekly)
  • Brew and Banter: 10am to 12pm (veterans support, third Thurs of the month)

Fridays

  • Quiet Library Café Art Club 10am to 12pm (weekly)

Saturdays

  • The Library is open on the second Saturday of the month from 10am to 12 noon

Sundays

  • Sustainable Sundays and Repair Café from 10am to 2pm (last Sunday of Month)

Council payments and services

  • National Concessionary bus pass applications are quick and easy to apply for online.  
  • Recycling bags and boxes can be ordered online. Please use the request recycling equipment / recycling containment online form.
  • Council Payments. Payments for Council services cannot be taken at this location. This includes Council Tax or Business Rates. However there are a range of PayPoint and Post Office sites that accept both cash and card payments. Most Post Offices still accept cheques at no extra cost.  Your account will be updated overnight. Many PayPoint stores have longer opening hours, often including weekends.
