Looe Library and Information Service

The management of Looe Library and Information Service has transferred to Looe Town Council supported by Cornwall Council.

Monday 22 June to Friday 26 June Looe Library will be making improvements to the library space.

The library will be open usual hours, and a selection of books will be available for you to borrow on the first floor. However, the ground floor of the library will be closed. The lift, public toilets, computer and printing will be unavailable.

Clubs and groups are also cancelled. You are still able to reserve and collect books during this time.  Sorry for any inconvenience.

Library staff can help with photocopying documents for Bus Pass and Blue Badge applications and give advice, but staff do not process applications.

  • National Concessionary bus pass applications are quick and easy to apply for online.
  • Recycling bags and boxes can be ordered online. Please use the request recycling equipment / recycling containment online form.
  • Council Payments. Payments for Council services cannot be taken at this location. This includes Council Tax or Business Rates. However there are a range of PayPoint and Post Office sites that accept both cash and card payments. Most Post Offices still accept cheques at no extra cost.  Your account will be updated overnight. Many PayPoint stores have longer opening hours, often including weekends.
