Fowey Library


Fowey Library is managed by Fowey Town Council, supported by Cornwall Council

The library is open 

  • Tuesdays from 1.30pm to 4.30pm
  • Wednesdays from 10am to 1pm
  • Thursdays from 10am to 1pm
  • Saturdays from 10am to 12 noon

Cornwall Library customers will be able to use their existing library cards to borrow books from Fowey Library. Customers can continue to use their library card to visit and borrow from all other libraries in Cornwall. If you are not a library member and wish to join, please visit the join the library page.

Events and Activities

Coffee, tea and cake will be available at opening time.

Story time for nursery and pre-school children by Dawn Hope. Every Thursday fortnightly at 10.15am, the next event is the 12th of March 2026.

Knit Stitch Hooks & Books knitting sewing and crocheting group, every Wednesday from 10am-12noon. Learners and beginners welcome!

Customers will have the opportunity to:

  • Browse and borrow from a selection of books which will include fiction, non-fiction and children’s books. The library stock will be provided and managed by Cornwall Council.
  • Use the “click and collect service”- Customers will be able to reserve books and other resources from the online library catalogue and collect in the new library.
  • Chat to a friendly Library Volunteer
