Renew your items by logging in to your library account (enter library card number).
You can also renew your items by phone 0845 607 6119 (find out about call charges) or at your local branch library or by phoning 0300 1234 111 Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 6pm.
You can renew books up to five times before we need to see them. If you still require the books you should bring them to the library for re-issuing. Books that have been reserved by another library customer will only be renewed for an additional week.
CDs, DVDs and computer games hired from the library are not renewable. If you require them for longer than the hire period, you will have to pay for each additional week (or part week) that you keep them.

You can reserve items through the online catalogue or in person at your local library. We will send you an automated message by phone, email or post when your reservation arrives.
Online self-reservations using online catalogue are free (limit of 10 in process at any one time).
If the book you wish to borrow is not in our online catalogue and is not in print or not included as part of our collection, it may be borrowed through out of county inter-library loan.
Out of county inter-library loans are items requested from other library services within the UK. If we are unable to supply an item from our own stock, we can try to borrow the item from other public libraries via the out of county inter-library loans service.
Please note: There is no guarantee we will be able to supply the item. We will contact you as soon as we can about your request and let you know if it can be supplied.
If the item can be supplied, it will be sent to the library branch nominated by you on the request form below and library staff will contact you to let you know the item is ready for collection. Charges apply to all out of county inter-library loan requests.
The length of time it takes to obtain the inter-library loan may vary depending on the individual item request.
To help us answer your out of county inter-library loan request, please complete the online form below with as much information as possible. All fields marked with an asterisk * are required.
When you have finished filling out this form please click the Submit button.
Please note, once you have submitted your form you will not be able to review it. We will contact you to let you know if we can supply the item
