How we will use the information about you?
Cornwall Council must provide a comprehensive and efficient library service by law. This is under the Public Libraries and Museums Act 1964. We will use the information you provide to deliver this service to you. We will only use your information for your library membership and services.
We will share your information with our contracted partners. These are local town and parish councils and community groups. They work with us to deliver the library service.
We will also share your information with these contracted suppliers:
- Education Software Solutions. This company provides our library management system.
- Lorensbergs Ltd. This company provides our public computer booking system. You might use this if you book one of our public network computers.
- Bibliotheca Ltd. This company provides our self service kiosks.
- Digital Tech Solutions. This company provides our telephone messaging service.
- Springshare. This company provides our customer communications system, Patron Point. Please note Patron Point may process personal data in the USA.
How long will we keep this information for?
We will keep your information for 24 months from the date you last accessed the service. Unless there are outstanding loans or charges on your record. In this case, we may keep your information stored for up to 84 months. This is in line with Batchelor retention guidelines.
