A unique place to live and work. A great time to join our service.
There has never been a better time to join Cornwall's Educational Psychology Service.
We are growing our innovative Experts at Hand programme. Educational Psychologists play a key role in helping children, young people and families get support earlier. As part of our friendly and supportive team, you can develop your skills, help shape new ways of working, and make a real difference across schools, families and communities.
Experts at Hand
Experts at Hand is changing how support is delivered across Cornwall.
Educational Psychologists work alongside other professionals in local teams. This brings psychological support closer to children, families and communities. It also helps us work together earlier and provide support before problems become more serious.
Video Interaction Guidance (VIG): Psychology in Action
We are proud of our established Video Interaction Guidance (VIG) service. It is an important part of our strengths-based approach.
VIG helps children, families and education settings build on what is already working well. It strengthens relationships and supports positive change through shared reflection and discussion.

Our Vision, Mission and Values
Children and young people are at the heart of everything we do. Our mission is to use psychology to make positive change. We work with children, families, schools and communities across Cornwall, guided by our values of inclusion, collaboration, reflection, integrity, respect and child-centred practice.
Hear From Our Team
Our people are at the heart of our service. Here's what one of our Educational Psychologists says about working in Cornwall:
"Cornwall has given me the opportunity to grow as an Educational Psychologist while working in a service that genuinely lives its values. I've been encouraged to be creative, develop specialist skills and contribute to work that makes a difference to children, families and schools.
What stands out most is the people. There is a strong sense of belonging, support and trust, alongside the freedom to develop and try new ideas. Cornwall has given me both roots and wings: a secure base within a welcoming team and the opportunity to grow into the Educational Psychologist I want to be."
