What to expect
- Speak to current fire crews. Learn about their routines and experiences
- Have a tour of the fire station and try on firefighting gear to get a feel for the equipment used
- Talks about the application process, including steps, timelines, and requirements.
- Covers the training school, including curriculum and duration
- Discusses the development period, its length, and support
- Explains fitness requirements and shows strength tests and ladder climbs for assessment
- Engage in practical demonstrations to experience the responsibilities of a firefighter
Participants should wear comfortable clothing. But trainers and activewear are best for full participation in the session's activities.
