Flooding advice

Call Floodline on 0345 988 1188 any time for real-time flood warnings and advice, including registration to the Flood Warning Services.

In the event of major flooding Cornwall Fire, Rescue and Community Safety Service work closely with other agencies to deliver a coordinated approach to the operation


Road traffic collisions

Assisting at the scene of a road traffic collision is a major part of the Fire and Rescue Service's work.


Major emergency 

Resilience and Emergency Management team provides support to the emergency services during the response and recovery from an emergency. They are on call 24 hours a day to co-ordinate the Council's response.


Crime

  • Community risk assessment
  • Planning for emergencies
  • Responding to emergencies
  • Business continuity management (including promotion of general business continuity advice to local businesses and the voluntary sector)
  • Public information about risk assessments and plans
  • Putting in place arrangements to warn and inform the public

Hydrants maintenance 

Cornwall Fire and Rescue Services are responsible for ensuring that hydrants are kept serviceable and available for use in the event of fire.


Attending incidents 

When you dial 999 and ask for the Fire and Rescue Service, your call is sent to the emergency call handling centre.  Calls are normally answered within 1 to 5 seconds. Control will confirm with you the address of the incident and help will be dispatched to you immediately.
