The Information page template
We use the Information page template to provide information on a single subject. An information page can use components, such as accordions or jumplinks, to help break up content. This makes information easier to find and understand.
If our subject matter needs to be divided into more than two sub-sections, we use jumplinks to break up the content.
Information pages should never have more than 6 sub-sections. If our subject matter needs more than 6 sub-sections we use a Topic page instead.
Create a new Information page
To create a new Information page you need to:
- Right click on the parent page. This is the page you would like your new page to sit under
- Select "Create"
- Select "Information page" and hit submit
- Give your page a name and title
- Add your content in the body text section
Related content
An Information page should have at least one related content page. If no related content pages are added the text will stretch the full width of the page. This means there will be no right hand column and the 'last updated' date will not be displayed.
Related content helps users to navigate around our site to other pages of interest. Your related links may be to other pages within your area or a page elsewhere on our website that is relevant to your subject.
To add related content to your page:
- Scroll down to "Related content" and click on "Add"
- Select the page you wish to link to from the navigation tree displayed on the right hand side of your page and hit "Submit"

Once you have added your related content pages they will display on the right hand side of the page along with the date the page was last updated.
Note: On a smartphone the related content will appear at the bottom of the page.

Jump links
Jump links are the only other option we have available on a topic page. Jump links help to break up your content further and help users to navigate through your page.
To add a jump link you first need to create an anchor on the page. Anchors are case sensitive and cannot have any spaces.
To create an anchor you need to:
- Go to the first heading on your page
- Place your cursor in front of the heading
- Click on the anchor option on the top toolbar

- Give your anchor a name and select ok
- Now save your page so that it recognises the anchor you have just created
You can now create your first jump link. To do this:
- Go to the jump links section on the page and click on "add"
- In the anchor box, type in the name of your anchor exactly how you created it
- Add in your link title. This is usually the same text as the heading you are linking to.
- Click submit
You now need to follow this process to add in all your jump links.
Once you have finished adding your jump links you can then preview your page to see how they will look and work on the live website.

Accordion layout
An accordion layout shows the user a series of titles. When they select a title, the accordion expands to display further information. Accordions help to segregate information which focus on a specific topic. For example, you could use an accordion layout to separate details of specific towns or parishes. Or you may wish to display a step by step guide in 4 steps by adding 4 items to an accordion.
To add an accordion layout:
- Scroll down until you see Accordion Layout and click on "Add Content"
- Add your title - this will be the text that appears on the page
- Next add the description - this is the content that will be hidden until the user click on the title. You have the same toolbar available to add headings, bold, links, bullet lists and so on.

Once you have added all your items, these will be display as an accordion on your page.
