Penmount has two chapels which are available throughout the day.
Both chapels have level access throughout for full accessibility. Induction loop systems are also available for hearing support.
Within the chapels and lobby areas there are large screens where you can show photographs and tributes. Outdoor speakers are available for funerals with a large number of attendees.
All funerals can be live streamed. They can also be personalised using music from our state-of-the-art Obitus music system with access to over 3,000 tracks. An organ is also available for live music. Find out more about making a funeral more personal.
Each chapel has a dedicated floral tribute bay where flowers left are displayed for up to 7 days.
Kernow chapel

Kernow chapel is situated in the original building, with a double height ceiling making the chapel light and airy.
Services are held on the half hour, every hour. The chapel attendant is present throughout to assist and the vestry is available for ministers and celebrants.
The 55 seats can be rearranged to accommodate different seating patterns at the families request and removed for wheel chair access.
There is LED lighting providing colour wash within the catafalque as well as a permanent fixed cross.
Trelawny chapel

Trelawny chapel was added in 1977 with seating for 110 plus additional standing if required.
Services are held on the hour. The chapel attendant is present throughout to assist and the vestry is available for ministers and celebrants.
The individual chairs mean that the seats can be arranged to change the focus from the catafalque area at the families request.
LED lighting provides the opportunity to add a hint of a colour theme to the walls whether this is a
- favourite football team
- specific flower colour or
- reference to a favourite item of clothing
we will try to get as close as we can.
There is a removable cross that allows for religious or non-religious services. A side exit is also available for larger attended funerals.
For those wishing to hold a chapel service before a burial in our Natural Burial Ground these are held in the Trelawny Chapel.
