Street nameplates
Street nameplates should be situated in a conspicuous place at the start and/or end of a street, or at any point of access to that street. Developers are responsible for providing the initial nameplates on developments with new streets.
If the street name is in English, then all new street nameplates are to be Bi-Lingual with the English above with the Cornish below. TheCornish Language Office will provide the accepted Co.....

Unauthorised signs on the highway
Signs or banners on the highway need authorisation from the Highway Authority. In Cornwall, Cornwall Council is the Highway Authority for most roads. National Highways are responsible for the A30 and A38 Trunk Roads.

Cornwall Council clamps down on dangerous parking outside schools
Cornwall Council will soon be using cars fitted with automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) cameras to help tackle dangerous parking outside schools.
Civil Enforcement Officers will patrol schools across Cornwall in the Council’s three Mobile Enforcement Vehicles, which are each fitted with four ANPR cameras on the roof.

Money off council tax for empty homes
You may be able to get some money off your council tax, or even an exemption, if your home is empty for one of these reasons.

A home that is empty and unfurnished
Homes that are empty will have to pay the full 100% yearly Council Tax charges. An additional premium is charged when a property has been empty for 12 months or more.
