How the Inclusion and Belonging Team is funded
It also secures new homes through the Local Authority Housing Fund (LAHF).A total of 51 LAHF properties has been purchased during the various phases of the Home Office funding scheme....In addition, LAHF 2 and 3 also includes provision of four Temporary Accommodation properties to help tackle Cornwall's housing crisis. ...When properties purchased for resettlement are no longer needed for that purpose, they can be made available to help meet wider housing need in Cornwall.Participation in these programmes has helped secure additional housing capacity for Cornwall residents. 34 additional temporary accommodation properties have been acquired through the Local Authority Housing Fund to support wider local housing need and reduce homelessness pressures. The expenditure of LAHF properties is commercially sensitive.Funding for Afghan refugees (2024-2025)The resettlement of Afghan families began in Cornwall at the start of 2024.
