Report Japanese Knotweed on Council land
This survey is being undertaken to assist Cornwall Council to control Japanese knotweed on land within its control. The Council is committed to working with the Cornwall Knotweed Forum to control the spread of Japanese knotweed in Cornwall. However, with reducing resources, any control programme will be prioritised. The reporting of knotweed will not necessarily result in its treatment.

Manholes and drain covers
Drainage covers and gratings within the highway will usually be our responsibility. There are many other covers in the highway that are the responsibility of a utility company. These covers provide access for gas, electric, telecommunications, water or sewerage services.

Noise is one of the statutory nuisances that can be investigated by the Council.

Bridges and structures
We are responsible of over 1500 bridges that support the highway. We inspect them to ensure they are safe for the public to use.

If the defect is a threat to public safety please telephone 0300 1234 222 (24 hour service) giving details of the location.
Railway bridges are the responsibility of Network Rail.
