The easiest and quickest way to apply for Free School Meals and Pupil Premium is online. Please make sure that you have checked the eligibility criteria before applying.
If you are unable to apply online, please call the Free School Meals team on 01872 323298. A member of the team will call you back to complete the application over the phone. Please make sure your phone will accept calls from a private / withheld number.
We will check your eligibility with HM Revenue and Customs, The Home Office and the Department of Work and Pensions.
We will email or write to you to let you know the outcome of your application. If you are eligible, we will give you the date your child’s free school meals will start. We will also notify your child’s school. Please note that we are unable to backdate any claim.

Data protection privacy notice
The information is collected by the Free School Meals Team. It is only used to determine eligibility for Free School Meals and Pupil Premium. We will keep it in a secure environment until your child’s 25th birthday. After this time, we will destroy it.
The outcome will be shared with your child’s relevant school. We may share with other relevant professionals within Cornwall Council. This will only be to inform their work and the services we provide (for example, school transport).
