Confirmation Arrangements

  • On receipt of your booking, you will receive an automatic acknowledgement email. One week before the course date you will receive an email confirming your place on the course.
  • For online training, emails containing the MS Teams meeting link will be sent out a week before the course date. If you do not receive an email, please check your junk mail in the first instance. If the link is not there, then please contact our office at least 3 days before the training.  Please do not leave it until the day of the training as we cannot guarantee that we will be able to respond to you in time.
  • For training with a course fee you will need to ensure that the CPD Leader 'checks out' the booking from the shopping basket before the place can be confirmed.
  • All information is sent to the email address supplied when you book the training. Please make sure that this is correct when you book.

Online training

  • Where possible use a laptop or computer to join the training.  If you need to use a phone or tablet, please make sure you have downloaded the MS Teams App first.  A good internet connection is essential.
  • Log in to the training at least 5 minutes beforehand, so the trainer can start on time.  You will be placed in a ‘lobby’ and the trainer will admit you when they are ready.
  • The trainer will complete a register, but it is also helpful if you can make yourself known by typing in the “chat” column.  This is essential particularly if you are attending in someone else’s place or sharing a device.
  • As our courses are often full, please let us know if you cannot attend, so that we can offer your place to someone else.  We often have reserve lists.

Cancellation fees

  • We are not currently charging cancellation fees for free courses. However, any courses that do have a charge will incur a cancellation fee.  The fee will be charged if you cancel within 7 days of the course date or do not attend on the day.  This includes places cancelled due to Covid.
  • Please ensure that you cancel by 10.00am at least 7 days before the start of the course to avoid cancellation fees.  You can cancel your place by:
  • Alternatively we will accept substitute delegates.
  • If you username does not display your FULL name or you are SHARING a device with a colleague, please ensure that you sign in on the chat. Alternatively please email earlyeducationtraining@cornwall.gov.uk. This will stop any 'Did Not Attend' emails being sent to you. It will also ensure that your setting does not incur unnecessary charges
