The Digital Inclusion Team
The Digital Inclusion Team are all about getting people online and using online services with confidence.
We work closely with volunteers and partner organisations to enable residents to access and be confident using online services.
We offer face to face training sessions working with local organisations wanting to offer digital skills support in their community such as Age UK and Job Centres. We also support a network of Digital Champions working in community venues and libraries around Cornwall.
The trainer sessions include barriers to engagement, learning styles, communication skills and various support routes for people attending digital skills sessions. We also look at what it means to be a Digital Champion and helping to tackle loneliness and isolation as well as digital exclusion.
We are building and developing strategic partnerships with organisations who can advocate the importance of digital skills and spread the word about the network of community partners offering support to residents.
If you are a community group or organisation who provides digital skills support, would like to start doing so or can raise awareness of basic digital skills, provide resources or volunteers and would like to join the partner network please get in touch.
Most issues can be resolved online, it's the quickest and most convenient way to get help.
