Community Area Partnership Action Plans

Cornwall has 12 Community Area Partnerships (CAPs). These new partnerships started meeting in Summer 2023. They bring local councillors, public, community and voluntary sector organisations together. Their role is to tackle the issues that matter to communities, so that everyone can start, live and age well.

Each CAP has agreed a "community priority action plan." These set out community priorities for their area. They explain how the CAPs will progress these priorities with their partners. To agree their priorities, the CAPs considered information about their communities. This included statistical information and environmental profiles. They also held conversations about local issues, challenges and solutions.

Cornwall Council has endorsed the action plans. It will consider them during its annual budget and business planning processes. It will also consider them when preparing its strategies, policies and service plans.  This is part of the Council's commitment to decentralisation.  This seeks to strengthen the voice of local communities.  It champions supporting communities to develop and lead solutions to local priorities.

You can read summaries of the action plans below. Each summary includes progress highlights to March 2025.
