Changes to our website accounts

We’re working towards a website with one single login. Our aim is to join up all services within one portal.

This would mean when you view your website account, in the future you could see;

  • Your Council tax account
  • Any interactions, such as any forms you have submitted to us
  • And much more

A change to the way you login is the first step towards creating that portal and will take place on 9 November 2022.

Things to note

If you have a website account, your existing password will continue to work.

But:

If you have your password saved in your browser, this will no longer work. This is because the web address you are sent to has changed. Please use the forgotten password function to renew your password.

Making planning application comments

If you already have a website account to comment on planning applications, your existing password will continue to work.

The changes

Registering

When registering for an account the process will be different.

  1. You will enter your email address
  2. We will email you a 6-digit code
  3. You enter that code on the screen
  4. You then complete the rest of your details and create a password

Resetting your password

If you need to reset your password:

  1. You will enter your email address
  2. We will email you a 6-digit code
  3. You enter that code on the screen
  4. You then create a new password
