Our Vocal Scores and Orchestral Sets can be reserved and borrowed. This service is free of charge to members of Cornwall Library service. Members will need to contact us and register as music Borrowers.
Vocal and Orchestral sets requested from outside Cornwall:
- Vocal scores - £1.17 per score per six months
- Orchestral sets - £11.77 per set per three months
- Postal charge of £8.16 per 20 copies (please note this charge may vary, ask staff for details)
- Reservation charge £7.00 from library authorities inside South West Region (non-refundable)
- Reservation charge £14.20 from library authorities outside South West Region (non-refundable)
- Renewals will be charged at the rates and time periods as listed above
- Late returns charge £11.77
- Missing part charged at cost plus £5.50 administration fee, unless a new copy is supplied by customer

The music request form should be completed for all music loans. The earlier music is requested the greater the chance of us obtaining it.
To help us answer your enquiry, please provide us with as much detail as possible.
If we cannot get the music you have requested, we will contact you within 10 working days. Otherwise the music will be ordered as listed and hire charges will be payable. We will notify you when the music is available at your chosen collection site.
All fields marked with an asterisk * are mandatory. Please check the charges for music hire before ordering.
Cornwall Council has a statutory duty under the Public Libraries and Museums Act 1964 to provide a comprehensive and efficient library service. The information you provide will be used to deliver this service to you. We will only use this information for your membership of the Library and Information Service. We will share your information with local town and parish councils and community groups. They are our contracted partners in delivering the library service. If you are eligible and choose to use our home library delivery, we will share your information with Royal Voluntary Service. Or other provider who is contracted to deliver this for us. We will also share your information with the following contracted suppliers. This is solely for the purpose of providing the library service:
- Capita Systems who provide our library management system
- Lorensbergs Ltd who provide our public computer booking system if you use our public computer network
- Bibliotheca Ltd who provide our self service kiosks
- Talking Tech who provide our telephone messaging service
Your information will be kept 24 months from the date you last accessed the service. Unless there are outstanding loans or charges on your record. In this instance, your information may be kept for up to 84 months in line with Batchelor retention guidelines.
