The aim of this policy is to explain:

  • How we select and receive resources including our position on censorship
  • The variety of resources we provide
  • How we edit resources, what we keep and what we remove

The objectives of this policy are to demonstrate:

  • A consistent approach to stock selection and management
  • Continual improvement and development of our stock
  • The best current use of our resources
  • Commitment to value for money and responsible waste management
  • That resources continue to be relevant to our customers and our communities
  • The variety of methods used to increase the varied use of the resources
  • The Cornwall Library service aims to inspire reading for pleasure, literacy skills and reader development in as broad a sense as possible
