Unfortunately due to the continuing spread of Coronavirus, our library book delivery service is unable to run to full capacity. We hope to implement a reduced service in the near future but please note that reservations will take longer to arrive at libraries. Customers will be notified when items are available. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
Could you be a Home Library Service Volunteer?
Would you like to help us support those who cannot get to libraries. This is a vital service that we run in partnership with the Royal Voluntary Service in Cornwall. It is very rewarding and could involve selecting, delivering and collecting books for someone who finds it difficult to get to the library.
Some of our customers would love to have someone to bring them to the library so that they can choose for themselves, others would use our online library catalogue to select themselves.
To express an interest in volunteering with the Home Library Service please contact us using the contact details below.
The Home Library Service can come to you
This free service is for anyone who is unable to use the library because they have a disability, long-term illness or caring responsibilities which make it difficult for them to get out. Tell us the sort of books you like, and a Royal Vountary Service Volunteer will deliver them to your home. Or tell us exactly which books you would like and we will do our best to get them for you - you can browse and reserve items yourself using our online library catalogue. You can choose from books in ordinary print or Large Print and audiobooks.
Most issues can be resolved online, it's the quickest and most convenient way to get help.
