This discretionary loan is available to help owners of empty properties carry out repairs to bring them back in to use.
Loan options
Repayment loan
A loan of up to £25,000 over a repayment period up to 10 years.
The applicant must intend to occupy the property themselves or to rent the property.
Bridging loan
A bridging loan of up to £60,000 for a single unit to be repaid within 2 years of approval if the applicant intends to re-finance or sell the property.
Applicant conditions
- You must own the empty property
- Empty means unoccupied
- No limit on how long the property has been empty
- The property must be classified as empty on Council Tax
- Applications can not be made retrospectively
- The property can not be a second home or holiday let before or after the loan approval
Relevant consents such as planning permission, listed buildings and building regulations must be in place before the loan can be approved.
