Parenting programmes are workshops and/or groups that support you with some of the challenges of being a parent. Parents tell us that they learn a great deal from each other and enjoy the support that a group provides. We offer a selection of free workshops, whatever the age or needs of your child.
Ready, Steady...Grow - Antenatal and Postnatal Health & Wellbeing
Our ‘Ready, Steady…Grow’ sessions focus on:
- healthy nutrition
- physical activity
- general health and wellbeing
This is for both your baby and you, during and after pregnancy.
The programme is completely FREE and runs over two 2-hour sessions. One session is antenatal and one is postnatal.
In these sessions we’ll discuss a variety of health topics in a relaxed, informal and comfortable environment:

WILD
WILD welcomes young parents, their children, and young people who are expecting a baby. We welcome mums, dads and young parents under the age of 23, and their babies and children under the age of 5.
WILD Young Parents provide weekly groups for young parents across the county. They also host online chat groups and one-to-one support and help:
Me, You and Baby Too – a workshop for all new or expectant parents
You will learn:
- What your baby picks up, even before they are born
- Why stress should be a shared burden
- How you and your partner can support each other
- How to talk to bring up difficult topics
- How arguments start, and how to stop them
