Gardening

Session or Support Description

Our community garden group will work together on gardening projects; this will require individuals to work together, fostering collaboration and teamwork. It will help to teach valuable social skills, like communication and sharing responsibilities. Our Gardening sessions will support learners in developing practical skills such as planting, watering, pruning, and harvesting. These activities will be used to teach basic scientific concepts like plant growth, the water cycle, and photosynthesis.

Expected outcomes
Gardening provides hands-on experiences that enhance knowledge of plants, ecology, and environmental aspects. We learn about plant growth cycles, the importance of ecosystems, and the role of pollinators. Physical Development: Tasks like digging, planting, and watering enhance fine and gross motor skills. Life Skills: Gardening teaches responsibility, patience, and time management. Nutritional Awareness: Growing fruits and vegetables. Social skills: Teamwork.
