Life Skills Training Programme

Session or Support Description

Our sessions run over four days each week. You can attend one day or up to three days each week. Three days are at our main building on Wendron Street, Helston. One day each week, we run a pop-up cafe at a local Church. You will meet new people and learn how to feel comfortable around people you do not already know. We start each day with some classroom-style learning and share how we are feeling. Then, as a team, we all decide what jobs we will be doing. You will join that team. You’ll learn and practice the skills needed to finish each task. This all helps to build skills in the food industry and gain valuable experience. This can help improve your chances of landing a paid job.

Accessibility
Helston's centre, where our main building is, has limited parking. This is due to its location on a busy street. There are steps in and out of the front door and stairs to manage as well. We hold our pop-up café in a building with much easier access, good parking, and no stairs to manage.
