Support organisations for autistic people


There are many organisations which offer specific help for people with autism or other neurodiversity. We have included some of them here. 

General neurodiversity information and support

Inclusion Cornwall has a sheet called ‘Support for people with Autism and ADHD’. It covers all ages, and we have borrowed some information from it to include here.

Disability Cornwall is a user-led organisation representing all people with disabilities in Cornwall.

Women’s Centre Cornwall – DIVAs project are a group of women with:

  • learning disabilities
  • neurodiversity
  • autism

They fight to be treated fairly and with respect, and get their voices heard.

Autism information and support

The Autistic Community of Cornwall (ACC) has been established by Autistic people for Autistic adults in Cornwall. Members deliver training, advocacy and consultation with services and decision makers. They also support families of autistic children with SEN support and signposting.

National Autistic Society offers support and information for autistic people. They also have information about autism for professionals, family members and others.

ADHD information and support

ADHD UK  is by people with ADHD, for people with ADHD. It is a good place for information and support.
