People across Cornwall are being urged to give recognition to care workers, to shine a spotlight on the incredible individuals working in adult social care across Cornwall.
The awards will take place for the second year running, following the success of the event held by Proud to Care in September 2024.
Those who are shortlisted will be invited to an award ceremony taking place at the Eden Project on Friday 19 September 2025.
Cllr Jim McKenna, Cabinet lead for Adult Social Care and Health at Cornwall Council said:
“Following the success of last year’s awards we want to take the opportunity to again recognise this very special workforce who go above and beyond every day in Cornwall, supporting a whole range of people to live as independently as possible.
“Nominations are now open, and everyone is encouraged to get involved – from colleagues and care providers to the people receiving care and their families. Whether it’s a quiet act of kindness, years of dedicated service, or someone who’s made a life-changing impact, this is the moment to say thank you.”
There are ten award categories, recognising a wide range of roles and contributions across the sector – from home care to care homes, managers to new starters, and unsung heroes to rising stars. Full details of the categories and how to nominate can be found on the Proud to Care Cornwall website.
