Cornwall Council is calling on residents, employers, educators, and community organisations to help shape the future of skills and employment across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
The Workforce and Skills Strategy Refresh sets out a bold vision to ensure that local people have the right skills to thrive in a changing economy - now and in the future. This strategy is a key part of our commitment to building a more inclusive, resilient, and prosperous region.
We are now launching a public consultation to gather feedback on the refreshed strategy and ensure it reflects the needs and aspirations of our communities.
Cllr Tim Dwelly, the council’s portfolio holder for economic development and regeneration, said: “This is an opportunity for everyone in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly to have their voice heard. Whether you're a student, jobseeker, employer, or training provider, your input will help us build a strategy that works for one and all.”
The strategy focuses on:
- Supporting people into good jobs and careers
- Helping businesses find and develop the talent they need
- Tackling skills shortages in key sectors
- Creating inclusive opportunities for all residents
We want to hear from you. Visit our consultation page to read the strategy and share your views.
