The Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Economic Forum (the Forum) is a group led by the private sector. It advises Cornwall Council and the Council of the Isles of Scilly on economic priorities to create local jobs and drive growth.
The Forum was created after the Government gave more control over economic development to local areas. It ensures that businesses have a say in local decisions and helps set regional priorities.
The Forum's goal is to provide a strong business perspective and local expertise to support the economic growth of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
It aims to represent a wide range of businesses and maintain accountability to local leaders. By focusing on business needs, the Forum helps shape local economic strategies, evaluates public sector initiatives, and attracts investment to support growth and development projects.
