Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly People Hub
The People Hub is a single point of contact for residents aged 16+ who need support with employment, training, or developing new skills. We offer friendly, personalised guidance and will triage your enquiry to the most suitable support at the right time. Whether that’s a Council service, one of our specialist partners, or an external organisation.
Connect to Work Programme
One significant part of the People Hub is delivery of the UK Government’s new Connect to Work programme. The programme supports residents aged 18+ who are motivated to find employment or need help staying in work.
Connect to Work provides one to one support from a dedicated Connector who works with you to:
- Understand your goals and create a personalised plan
- Find suitable job opportunities and support with applications
- Work directly with employers to identify the right job match
- Provide in‑work support to help you settle in and sustain employment
This programme is designed for people who may experience a range of health related or non health related barriers.
That includes barriers such as:
- disabilities
- long term health conditions
- neurodiversity
- caring responsibilities
- refugee backgrounds
- experiences of modern slavery
- mental health challenges
- physical disabilities
- a history of offending
- care experience.
Support is always holistic and tailored to each person’s circumstances.
