Inquests on the deaths of Yves Gloaguen and Pascal le Floch

The inquests into the sailors aboard the French fishing vessel, Bugaled Breizh, were adjourned on 29 November 2019.

The Acting Senior Coroner for Cornwall, Andrew Cox, referred the matter to His Honour Judge, Mark Lucraft QC, the Chief Coroner.

The Chief Coroner has requested the Lord Chief Justice to nominate a Circuit Judge to hear the inquests. The request is in consultation with the Lord Chancellor, under Schedule 10 of the Coroners and Justice Act. The Lord Chief Justice has appointed His Honour Judge Nigel Lickley QC.

His Honour Judge Lickley QC currently sits on the South Eastern circuit. Based at the Central Criminal Court (The Old Bailey) in London.
