Launceston Guildhall
The impressive and historic Guildhall was built in 1881 and is used by Launceston Town Council as the Council Chamber.
It is a prestigious space with:
- magnificent stained-glass windows
- a soaring wooden ceiling
- oil paintings and
- portraits of former Mayors
which all add to the sense of history and grandeur. The Guildhall has many original features, including its original gas lamps – although they now run on electricity!
