The Mineral Tramways Heritage Project

Explore the Great Flat Lode Trail, the Coast to Coast Trail plus 29km of new trails for 2008

The pages listed here describes the routes of current and proposed trails and introduces some of the major heritage sites that can be explored in the area.

The Mineral Tramways Heritage Project 2005-2008 will cost £6 million. It is managed by Cornwall County Council in partnership with Kerrier District Council, and funded by both using Objective One, South West Regional Development Agency, Heritage Lottery Fund, Carrick District Council and Parish and Town Councils in the Project area.
