The Junior Safey Officer Scheme  is run by Cornwall Council and the Fire Service. It looks at Road Safety as well as safety in the home, and hosts modules around the links between road safety and sustainability and tackling school parking issues. You can download the JSO Sustainable Travel Pack.

The Cornwall Healthy schools programme aims to support schools throughout Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly to raise attainment and achievement by improving health and wellbeing for pupils, staff, parents and carers in the wider school community.

Feet, Wheels and Wings is a series of resources developed in conjunction with Sense of Place and designed to help teachers to address sustainable travel themes within the curriculum.

These workshops, run by the Devon and Cornwall Constabulary, are a great way to highlight the dangers of speeding outside the school. Children are given first hand experience of using a speed gun and can even interview offending drivers.

Sustrans have excellent resources, incentive schemes, guides and events to help schools and professionals working with young people to encourage active, sustainable travel - both inside and outside the classroom.
