Highway Construction Details

Cornwall Council standard drawings are designed to supplement the Highways Agency Highway Construction Details and for convenience are drawn in the same general style and layout. These standard drawings should be used in conjunction with the Cornwall Council design guides, and national guidance, on the design and construction of residential and commercial roads.

These drawings are to be used without alterations. In order to maintain the integrity and relevance of these drawings, feedback is essential. This can be emailed to highways-estates@cornwall.gov.uk.  Feedback may include (but is not limited to):

  • comments on the accuracy of drawings

The list of drawings below is a definitive set of the Construction Details. Please do not store paper copies, other than for record purposes, so as to ensure that you are using the latest version. Whenever a drawing is updated, details will be recorded on the Register of Amendments.

The following note applies to the use of drawings numbers 7/3, 7/4, 7/5, 12/31, 12/32, 12/33 and 12/34.
