Planning performance agreements

A Planning Performance Agreement (PPA) helps manage the planning process. The Local Planning Authority (LPA) and applicant can use it to agree: timescales actions resources. Planning policy

These policies give an indication of what type and scale of development is appropriate and are used to determine planning applications. The Cornwall Local Plan was formally adopted in November 2016. The Local Plan has been audited and the polices continue to be used in planning decisions. It provides a positive and flexible planning policy framework for Cornwall up to 2030.

How planning applications are decided

How your application is determined Cornwall Council uses a scheme of delegation. This document states the range of decisions that designated (named) planning officers can make on behalf of the Council. It gives officers the permission to use delegated powers.
