How your information will be used
All of the information you provide during the registration process will only be used for the purpose processing your registration with the website, Or to fulfil legal or regulatory requirements if necessary.
Providing this information will enable you to comment on planning applications, create e-petitions, participate in traffic consultations, subscribe to page update notifications and waste collection reminders, but your data will not be passed to those systems until you choose to use them.
If you use your website account to submit a comment on a planning application, please note that your name and address will be visible as part of the statutory public register. Anonymous comments are not accepted.
We will not share any of the information you provide during the registration process with any third parties for marketing purposes or store any of your information outside of the European Economic Area.
How your information is stored
The information you provide will be held securely by us, and will be retained until you contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and ask us to remove it, after which it will be destroyed in a secure manner.
Please note that deletion of website registration details will result in the removal of all your personal information from the website, however comments made on planning applications using registered personal details cannot be deleted and your details will not automatically be removed from the petitions or consultations systems.
All personal information held by Cornwall Council is held safely in a secure environment.

In many circumstances we will not disclose personal data without consent. However when we investigate a complaint, for example, we will need to share personal information with the organisation concerned and with other relevant bodies.
