Mobile Library service

Disruption to service

We are sorry, there will be disruption to some of our mobile library routes during April, May and June. The delivery of our new mobile libraries has been delayed and as a result we are unable to visit all of the stops as we had planned.

The affected routes are on Tuesdays and Thursdays on West weeks 1 and 2 and East weeks 3 and 4 - please see the amended timetables below.

If you cannot find your stop or if you need further information you can call us on either 07837 815942, 07967 340910 or 07967 340906. Alternatively, you can call 0300 1234 1111 or email We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

The mobile library provides a library service to rural areas in Cornwall where there is no static library or micro library.  The mobile library holds a selection of books on many subjects, novels, large print books, books for children and talking books. Other materials, such as DVDs, music CDs and music scores can be borrowed on request.  Customers can request books for free from the online library catalogue or for a small charge if placed by a Library Assistant. The stock is updated regularly.

Find out more details about our Home Library Service

You can view an alphabetical list of your local library to see if there is a branch library or micro library near you, or enter your postcode on the my area page.

Our Home Library Service is for anyone who is unable to use the library because they have a disability, long-term illness or caring responsibilities which make it difficult for them to get out. Home Library Service volunteers bring books and other materials to your home if you are not able to get into a library yourself because of restricted mobility.
