The Launceston Registration Office is located in the Launceston Library/One Stop Shop. View the Launceston Registration Office opening hours. Please not: these are different to the Library and Information Service opening hours.

Council payments
Payments for Council services such as Council Tax or Business Rates are taken during opening hours at this location, please have your bill to hand.
For your convenience there are a range of PayPoint and Post Office sites that accept both cash and card payments, with most Post Offices still accepting cheques at no extra cost. Your account will be updated overnight and many PayPoint stores have longer opening hours, often including weekends, offering greater flexibility and choice. Services
- National Concessionary bus pass applications are quick and easy to apply for online. If you do not have access to the internet they can be processed Monday to Friday during normal opening hours.
- We have a small amount of stock of recycling sacks and boxes available from this One Stop Shop. We cannot guarantee availability but we can order on your behalf. Alternatively you can order direct using our online form
Request recycling equipment / recycling containment
- Seagull proof bags available at a cost of £3.50. Each bag will hold three black rubbish sacks.
Events and activities
- Computer classes for beginners
- Reading groups -There are a number of reading groups in and around Launceston who use the library to get recommendations and sets of books.
- Special events - we have a wide range of events taking place in libraries including author talks, drop-in events and much more. Find out if there are any special events taking place in a library near you.
- Free poetry writing and christmas card making workshop for children. Saturday 14 December 10.30am - 12.30pm.
Children's activities
- Bookstart Rhymetime - join us every Friday morning during term time only. Combined session for toddlers and babies : 10.00-10.30am.
