Fowey Library and Information Service

Information about Fowey Library and Information Service

We know there has been concern recently around the future of Fowey Library and want to reassure residents that no decision has been made at present to close the current building. We are committed to working with communities to protect library services where possible, but in these challenging financial times we, like all local authorities throughout the UK, have some tough decisions to make when faced with massive cuts in funding from central government. As a result we’ve been working with groups across Cornwall to transfer the day to day running of libraries to local communities and are currently working to find a solution in Fowey to ensure residents can access library services in some form.
