During these unprecedented times we are looking for people to help us. We need help to fill the current and anticipated increased demand within the adult social care sector in Cornwall. It is desirable for people to have some experience of working in a people facing role. However, the right values and approach are the key attributes.

Essential training will be provided prior to starting work. This work could be:

  • in a care home
  • providing care in a person’s own home
  • supporting the local community in other ways

Pay rate: £9.30 per hour.

The type of work we are looking to cover, falls into 3 broad categories.

This includes:

  • injections
  • pain management

At present this is the area where there is greatest need (updated 27 May 2020)

This includes providing support to individuals in the morning and evening with:

  • getting washed
  • getting dressed
  • getting safely to the toilet
  • monitoring their health, wellbeing and progress

This includes:

  • welfare checks
  • meal preparation
  • shopping/prescription collection
  • cleaning

We are currently not recieving many requests for temporary workers to provide practical care and support.  If this is your initial preferred area, we are asking if you would instead be willing to consider registering an interest in providing personal care and support. (updated 27 May 2020)
