Cornwall is known for its beautiful coastline and stunning natural environment but, as in many parts of the country, we face an increasing demand for social workers to support our most vulnerable adult residents.

We have an ageing population and areas of deprivation especially in rural locations, which often sit aside areas with pockets of wealth.

We need you to work with us!

As a progressive and compassionate Council we are confident we can tackle these big issues head on with the right people in our social work team.

We are recruiting teams on the ground at all levels including Newly Qualified Social Workers, right across our county.

We have vacancies in our geographic teams in ;

• North
• East
• Mid
• and West Cornwall

We can provide relocation support of up to £8,000 for eligible candidates relocating to Cornwall and are flexible with start dates.

We also offer a Welcome Payment of £4,000 for qualified social workers who have completed their ASYE and are new to social work in Cornwall Council.

This is paid upon successful completion of probation period.
