Public Health Cornwall

Cornwall Council’s Public Health Team promotes the health and wellbeing of the residents of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

Public Health has many responsibilities from birth to death, making sure everyone has access to the services and help they need the most. The team look at the health issues and tackle inequalities. They help people to improve their lives from warmer homes to help to progress into work. Major health conditions in our current state are usually chronic. Our service aims to prevent these by changing behaviour and through our living/working environments.

We use this information to understand how we can help our residents. It also helps the Kernow Clinical Commissioning Group (KCCG) to understand what services they need to provide.
