Signs of Safety 2 Day Course

Aimed at:  Children and Family Services staff and partners

The course objectives are:

  • An introduction to the Signs of Safety approach
  • Opportunities for participants to practice using the approach on their own cases
  • A demonstration of the model using a local case - via live case mapping with trainer using appreciative enquiries, solution focused questioning.
  • An introduction to Safety Planning
  • An introduction to tools that support direct work with children
  • The content will be the same for both practitioners and managers but will provide slightly different emphasis/feedback to participants according to their role.

(At least 48 hours notice of cancellation is required.  Cornwall Council staff need to cancel the course on ERP and Partners will need to email csflearningdevelopmentteam@cornwall.gov.uk to cancel)
