Resilience and Emergency Management holds a database of over 400 buildings which can be opened up and used in an emergency. This may be for use as a shelter or a rest centre when people are evacuated from their homes. Buildings include community centres, village and church halls and leisure centres.
We hold details on each of these buildings such as:
- kitchen facilities
- disabled facilities
- washing facilities
- key holder details
- building capacity
- whether there is an area suitable for sleeping.

We will need you to supply the names and contact details of 2 keyholders. You will also need to make them aware they are on our database and that they may be called out of hours.
