Phoenix Services has been working across Cornwall since 2002. It is the external training arm of Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service.
The services that we provide are split in to 3 main areas. These are:
- Safety and Education
- Driving Academy
- Community Engagement
Our courses are delivered at local community fire stations across Cornwall. Or we can deliver courses at your premises if you have a large enough group.

Safety and Education
We offer a variety of regulated and non-regulated courses in areas including:
- fire safety
- first aid
- marine fire-fighting
All courses are delivered by our experienced and qualified trainers.
Our fire safety awards are all designed to ensure your premises follow the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2015.
Our first aid courses are all designed to meet the first aid requirements set out by:
- The Health and Safety Executive
- Early Years for the Paediatric First Aid

Driving Academy
We offer a range of driving courses for mini bus drivers. They are delivered byfully qualified and experienced driving instructors.
We are also able to offer driver development training for those that:
- regularly drive a vehicle for work
- or may be identified as “high risk” drivers
This could be due to number of collisions, speeding convictions or a significant number of points on their licence.

Community Engagement and Training
Inspire, Motivate, Achieve
Our training is a community engagement scheme that utilises fire service training and activities. The aim of it is to help achieve positive goals by:
- Helping individuals to raise aspirations, improve teamwork and communication skills
- Help motivate the student to achieve their full potential
- Help give the student a positive impact for themselves and their communities
