Household waste and recycling centres

If you have household waste that can’t be collected with your rubbish or recycling, you can take it to one of 14 household waste and recycling centres across Cornwall. 

There are charges for some types of waste, and we can’t take business waste.

If you have a commercial vehicle designed to carry goods or large trailer, you need a vehicle permit to use the household waste recycling centres. 

You can also donate usable furniture and household items to Cornwall Hospice Care in Bodmin, Heartlands Furniture in Pool, or charity shops.

For safety reasons, no public pedestrian access is allowed through the entrance or exit gates at any of our household waste recycling centres.

What kinds of waste do you charge for?

There are charges for asbestos, plasterboard, soil, rubble and tyres.

We also offer bulky waste and garden waste services to collect items from your home.
